In response to this entry I just noticed on the Sankaku Complex blog, I have decided to put together the following tutorial.
Step #1: Find the URL of a vid on Niconico video, and then click the link to Niconico Encyclopedia (boxed in neon green). No login required.

Step #2: This is the Encyclopedia page you should be seeing. Note that the URL is just "http://dic.nicovideo.jp/v/" behind the video designation number.

Step #3: Using Firebug or a similar source viewer, find the bit of code boxed in neon green in the pic. Start copying from the script header. The point is to get all the Javascript.

Step #4: Copy it all the way to the script footer boxed in neon green here (include the script footer). No more and no less is necessary.
Step #5: Paste ... PROFIT!
Notes: It works in Google Chrome and usually Firefox (if you have lax security settings relating to Javascript). I haven't gotten it to work in IE. If you have NoScript or some other antiscript utility, it might fail.
追記 // Addendum #1
Alternate method:
In case the method above fails, you can also try and paste the section after the footer shown in Step #4. This method is compatible with Google Chrome and possibly with Firefox.
Demonstration:
I've had comments that the techniques listed here apparently don't work on a number of sites. Note that I haven't attempted this outside of fc2 blog yet. It's possible that Niconico uses a whitelisting technique of some sort, maybe circumventable via iframe usage. Will update with the results of any experiments hereafter.
追記 // Addendum #2
Fc2 blogs are confirmed to be whitelisted by Niconico, along with several other Japanese blog sites, including Vox. If there is indeed a valid workaround that allows embedding in other places, I'm not skilled enough (or at all) in Javascript to identify it. Niconico does apparently provide a whitelisting request form, which I haven't explored.
